Are we getting ahead of ourselves in the excitement of the “race” for President? Reality check needed?

by Admin on Feb.05, 2008, under The Beginning

It seems that once in a while everyone LOVES to get involved in politics, but soon they lose steam and don’t pay attention to it at all until the next Presidential election. Let’s think for a minute though about the ‘power’ of the Presidency to instate the plans they bait us with in comparison to the power of CONGRESS. Should we waste all our energy once every four years on one man or should we instead work to “CLEAN HOUSE” where it really may make the difference!? What is more likely to pass, a bill that is passed from the HOUSE and SENATE directly to a not-so-willing President, or a lone-wolf President trying to pass a bill that has no support? Perhaps our scrutiny should start at the lower levels of office? If you really want CHANGE, how have you worked to usher in candidates in CONGRESS? Also, should electoral delegates be cemented in (‘legally/technically’, I think they can vote exactly as they see fit) to a particular party? Do Republicans have a chance, electorate-wise? (I’ve heard Dems have 230-205 advantage)
